Good morning Team Barracuda families.  Our 3rd meet is upcoming this Saturday morning at Tsunami.  

For those new to the team, Tsunami is the name of the summer swim team from the Burbage Grant community.  This meet will be at their pool, which is located at 6815 Burbage Lake Circle, Suffolk, VA 23435. Arrival time for Team Barracuda is 8:00am so we can get swimmers checked in and events communicated.  Our warm-up time is approximately 8:30am.

If you have not already done so, please RSVP for the meet.  As of this moment, we are missing RSVPs for 19 swimmers and we need them in by midnight tomorrow (Thursday).

The Tsunami leadership has asked that we be aware of the following specifics:

• The parking lot is small, so many cars will park on the street. Some of the residents who live near the pool are very particular about cars parking on their lawns, so please make sure your tires are not on the grass.
• The Barracuda setup and family area is on the grass and concrete directly to the left of the building you walk through when entering the pool.  
• The Concession stand will have Chick Fil A biscuits (while supplies last), and burgers and dogs starting later in the morning, in addition to chips, drinks, and candy. Cash, Venmo, and Zelle are accepted.
• Per HOA and pool rules, there is no diving in the shallow end, so all swimmers who begin their relay in the shallow end MUST start in the water. This tends to be confusing, so please be aware. Tsunami volunteers will facilitate.
• Timers will move to the far end for 25s, just like at Riverfront. 
• The baby pool and shallow area are closed during the meet.  This will be indicated by caution tape, but some always choose to ignore this.  Team Barracuda will be subject to event disqualifications if anyone enters the water other than swimmers who are swimming the current event.
• Similar to Riverfront, the playground and tennis courts are also closed before and during the meet.  Swimmers should not exit the fenced pool area during the meet and should never be in the parking lot without an adult.  

Be on the lookout for volunteer assignments to be published on Friday.
